ORIENTATION
NYC Glassbook
Field notes for adults who want clearer questions, current sources and fewer unsupported conclusions.

A guide with a memory, not a borrowed identity
NYC Glassbook is a new independent field guide to wine bars, wine lists and the small decisions that shape an evening out. The captured Wayback CDX rows include historical restaurant, menu, reservation and event paths for this domain. This site does not continue that business, use its address, reproduce its menu, or speak for its former staff. This guide keeps historical records only to explain why old links exist and requires a fresh source for every current venue fact.
Start with the job, not a ranking
This guide asks readers to verify the list format, food format, price structure, accessibility, reservations, hours and licensing. This guide does not reduce those checks to a single score. Our pages therefore separate stable concepts from volatile venue facts and show the date and source class behind every local statement.
Three reading routes
Use the Upper East Side field guide for local discovery method, the menu and tasting pages for vocabulary, and the methodology pages for source and correction rules. The guide is informational. It has no booking flow, no paid placements and no affiliate links. Adults should make their own choices about alcohol and transport.
What we refuse to infer
This guide treats an archived address as historical evidence, not as a current address. This guide treats a directory profile as a discovery or historical source, not as proof of a current license. This guide does not treat an attractive list as proof of hospitality quality. This guide does not infer business continuity from a domain name. When evidence is missing or stale, the answer is unknown rather than a polished guess.
